Methi Matar Malai is a creamy North Indian dish of fenugreek leaves, peas and cream. This healthy and nutritious dish make under 40 mins and very popular in very Indian Dhaba’s & restaurants.
Ingredients: –
Methi- 500 gm
Matar- 250 gm
Cream- 2 Tb spoon
Onion- 1 chopped
Garlic- 2 spoon chopped
Green chilly- 4 chopped
Tomato- 1 chopped
Dry Kasuri Methi- ½ spoon
Salt- 1spoon
Kashmiri red chilly powder- ½ spoon
Cumin- ½ spoon
Instructions: –
First, we chopped the (Fenugreek leaves) Methi and peal off the peas and add in pressure cooker. Make 3 whistles. Then we chopped onion, tomatoes, garlic and chilly.
In a pan add oil then mix all the chopped veggies and spices. sauté for 8-10 mins and when it turns cold then grind it and make a fine paste.
In a wok add 1 tb spoon oil and then add Kasuri Methi for fragrance then add pressure cooker items then stir for 5-10 mins. Then add tomato paste and grinder paste then mix well.
After 15-20 mins add cream mix it then turns off the flame.
Look at this creamy texture and now we prepare for tadka, add 1 spoon ghee and then add jeera and Kashmiri chilly powder.
